Create Owner’s Statement in QuickBooks

Q: I need to create a statement for the owners to be able to see that the tenants have paid the rent and I need to know what form to use?

A: It all depends on how you are using and your QuickBooks file is customized, set up for property management. Try this:

  • Open Customer Center and highlight the owner or the property name. On the far right side click on Open Balance to see who still owes their rent. You can also click Customer Snapshot. View recent invoices. Click QuickReport to produce a printable report.
  • Open invoices report under Customers & Receivable
  • Create a Statement under Customer Center selecting the owner name

You can email or mail the statement to the owner for each property or all the properties in one report.
